Help support our friends in Israel in their time of need.
Our first stop of the day, Beth She'an, is referenced in the Bible as the place where the Philistines displayed the bodies of Saul and his 3 sons after the battle of Gilboa (1 Samuel 31:8-13). Beth She'an was an important gateway city between the Jordan River Valley and the Jezreel Valley until it was destroyed by an earthquake in 749 AD. We were amazed by the impressive Roman columns and huge amphitheater.
Our second stop was a lot of fun - the natural, warm springs of Gan Hashlosha! The group had a great time swimming in the bright blue water and trying to avoid the little fish that liked to nibble our toes! Watch Pastor Jesse’s devotional on the story of Gideon, which happened nearby.
Although the day started off overcast and drizzly, it cleared up beautifully for our boat ride across the Sea of Galilee. The sunset was a gorgeous backdrop as Pastor Jesse shared a devotional on Matthew 26:69-75. We listened to several worship songs and shared a powerful reflective moment on the same Sea where Jesus walked on water.
Onto Jerusalem tomorrow!
