A long flight ahead!

Nothing like a little Minnesota weather to give excitement to the drive this morning to airport. Thankfully the icy weather moved out and we departed from MSP close to on time.

The anticipation of this life changing experience is building as we all gather together in Chicago. We head out at 9:30pm for an overnight flight to Istanbul, Turkey and after a short layover there we make our way to Tel Aviv, Israel. We are scheduled to arrive at 7:15pm Tuesday night local time which is 11:15am CST. The time difference is 8 hours between Israel and Minneapolis.

Wednesday will be our first full day in Israel and filled with new sights, sounds and smells. We will be exploring the Shephelah; including Beth Shemesh, Azekah and the caves of Beth Guvrin. We will look forward to sharing all of the great experiences with on Wednesday evening.

As we walk where David fought Goliath, swim in the Jordan and Dead Sea, watch the sun come up in Masada and feel the Lords presence in every site; we ask for your prayers of safety, health and that God moves in each of us in unique and powerful ways.

We look forward to sharing this journey with you as we travel via the GTI blog and upon our return home!
