Day 09 - Bet She'an, Zippori, Boundary Stones, Jordan River

I am part of a small group of us on this trip who was supposed to go to Israel in 2020. I have had a lot of time to build up expectations of what I thought this trip and what Israel would be like.

On this trip, I am continually struck by the tension of seeing grand ruin structures constructed by “great” men that have lasted literally thousands of years, and yet an unassuming field or mountain without any distinguishing features are the setting for some of the most pivotal moments in biblical history.

I got the opportunity to sing with a group in an ancient theater. I also got to wade my feet into the Jordan River.

Each of these experiences carry significant meaning to me that I will remember forever, but the most meaningful parts are the friendships I have made that have now become my BEMA family. They have quite literally carried me through this journey, and I am beyond grateful for this grand story in my life that I get to take back and share.
