Help support our friends in Israel in their time of need.
Day 6 has been a blast and we spent the whole day in Ephesus. Our first stop this morning was a Turkish carpet weaving business. The owner gave us a tour of the loom room and the showroom. One of the ladies even showed us a short demonstration of how silk is made from the chrysalis of a silkworm. Then, we spent the entire morning in the excavated ruins of the city of Ephesus. We saw upper class homes, the Senate building, the theater, several fountains and temples, etc. After going to lunch, we finished the city ruins by stopping at the Ephesus museum and had some ice cream at a local shop. Before returning to our hotel, we made a quick stop at the ruins of the temple of Artemis, the mother goddess of Ephesus. We finished the evening off with a sunset cruise on the Aegean Sea.
