Help support our friends in Israel in their time of need.
We started this morning back in the ancient city of Pergamum studying the letter that John wrote to the church in Revelation 2 and trying to discover what Jesus might have been referring to when he said, “Satan’s throne”. Several of the options include Pergamum’s library, an altar to Zeus, a temple for Athena and many others. Pergamum was so big, it took us all the way to lunch. After lunch, we went to the ancient city of Smyrna and discussed the letter that also John to them. This church also got also commendation, like Philadelphia, because they were under such immense persecution. Our guide, Ozan, took us to a local shop that sold Turkish delight, teas and other locally produced goods. To finish our day, we watched a sunset over the Aegean Sea. It was such a fun experience!
