Day 08 - Priene, Didyma, & Miletus

Last day, best day! We started our day off at the beautiful, ancient city of Priene. This city is not mentioned in the scriptures, but it was pivotal for helping us understand the Roman culture. While there, we stopped by a Roman temple, Jewish synagogue and a Christian church. Then, we went to the temple of Didyma. According to Greek mythology, it is the birthplace of Apollo and Artemis. In the afternoon, we went to the ancient city of Miletus where Paul gathered with the elders from Ephesus for the last time. Before heading back to the hotel, we stopped by a family own pottery shop where we watched a gentleman make a vase and then we got to shop a little bit! We leave for the airport early tomorrow morning, so please pray for safe traveling mercy!
