Help support our friends in Israel in their time of need.
Day 6 is in the books! This morning we spent three hours exploring and learning at Beth She’an (its Hebrew name, meaning, “House of Quiet”. Once it was conquered by Rome, they named it Scythopolis. We saw the astounding ancient Roman ruins and noticed how similar they’re pagan culture is to ours. Then, we made our way to Gilboa, where Saul and the armies of Israel camped out when Saul inquired of the Witch of Endor and the pool where the Lord had Gideon shrink his army to fight against the Midianites. We made a brief, but super fun stop, for a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee and our AMAZING tour guide, Ronen, taught us some traditional Jewish dances. Our day finished at Susita, where Jesus healed the demon-possessed man and sent the demon into the herd of pigs. There, we heard the testimonies from three of our group members. Tomorrow is our last day in Galilee and then we move on to Jerusalem!
