Help support our friends in Israel in their time of need.
Shabot Shalom! As soon as the sun went down today in Israel, it officially became the Sabbath. We celebrated once we got back to our hotel by swimming and hanging out in the Sea of Galilee. We started this morning off at Mt. Arbel. Several times the scriptures tell us that Jesus “went to pray”. Scholars believe Mt. Arbel was where he went. Jesus did 70% of his ministry in the region between Capernaum, Chorazin and Bethsaida. We spent the afternoon visiting each of these towns. In Chorazin, we learned about Jewish marriage and how it reflects the gospel. In Capernaum, we visited a synagogue and the site of Peter’s mother-in-law’s house. Bethsaida, meaning, “house of fishing”, is the home town of the disciples Philip, Andrew and Peter. Excited for tomorrow!
