Just like David

Great day today, our team is learning so much each day.

Our first stop was in was in Beit She'an. It was a vibrant city in Jesus time, Hellenism was brought here by Alexander The Great in 330 BC. It was neat to see all the different parts of the city and see the way they did life. Brian asked us after looking at this city, "how do we live where we live and not get sucked into the culture?" But also, because Jesus did this..."How do we use what's in the culture to make the Gospel clear?"

From there we moved on to Mount Gilboa. Brian taught here under an olive tree. We talked about Saul, and David...and how Saul didn't do what God told him to do. He didn't wait to hear from God. David was always inquiring of the Lord. Sometimes we need to act, and sometimes we need to wait. Just like David.

From Mount Gilboa we moved on to Susita. The land of the driven out ones. We read the story of Jesus casting out demons into the heard of pigs. Brian had us pair into groups of two and tell each other our own stories. It was a powerful time because We all have a story to tell, and we can't be afraid to tell someone how Jesus has changed our lives.

From there we ended up back at the beach in front of our hotel and one of our own, USMC Rusty Brooks told his story and got baptized.

The team ended the night on a boat on the Sea of Galilee, it was such a special time.
