Help support our friends in Israel in their time of need.
WE ALL MADE IT TO TÜRKIYE!!
And when I say “all,” I do mean all of us made it! Those whose flights were delayed, those who were coming in from a different country, those who didn’t think they would make their connecting flight—we all made it (thank you Jesus!). That being said, it’s been a long journey to get here (11 hour flight from Chicago to Istanbul then a 1.5 hour flight to Antalya, ending with a 30 minute bus ride to the hotel) but our group is getting to know each other really well all along the way.
So right now, everyone has eaten dinner, gotten settled in, and we’re preparing our hearts for a full day out in the field tomorrow! We’ll visit the harbor that Paul sailed out of on his first missionary journey, see some tremendous artifacts in the Antalya Museum, set foot on an ancient Roman Road that Paul would’ve traveled down, and end our day in Perga, a place where Paul and Barnabas ministered in a significant way.
Yes, it’s a wonderful opportunity to visit these places, but I’m asking each of you to pray for your loved one who is here to have eyes to see what the Lord would have them see while we walk these ancient paths. Pray that they will observe the Roman Empire’s grip on the world at that time yet see how Jesus empowered His followers in a miraculous way. Especially pray for your loved one to personally begin asking the Lord, “What should change in my life because of what I’m hearing and observing?”
Thank you for praying as your loved one studies the context of the Bible in context that they might be changed forever!
