Help support our friends in Israel in their time of need.
Early morning camel ride to watch the sunrise in Wadi Rum. Today we headed to Israel Arava border crossing.
Timna Valley
Experienced Israel customs process but all went well and we resumed our journey into Timna Copper Mine. It is considered the first mines on Earth.
The Mushroom rock is found in the Timna Valley along with the Solomon's Pillars. The Pillars have an Egyptian connection. An inscription nearby depicts pharaoh Ramses III offering gifts to goddess Hathor.
Tabernacle Replica
The stunning desert backdrop of Timna Park is the setting for the replica of the Tabernacle. The model is fully based on the book of Exodus and aims to stay as true to scripture as possible.
The experience provides insights into the Tabernacle and the rich symbolism used within its structure to point the ancient Israelites to the Messiah and their return to our Heavenly Father.
Lunch provided by our bus driver, Eli and Israel Guide, Dan. Delicious pita sandwiches and fresh fruit juices.
Dead Sea
Next stop is Isrotel Ganim Hotel Dead Sea. After checking in, we had the opportunity to go floating in the Dead Sea.
The Dead Sea is bordered by Jordan to the east and Israel and the West Bank to the west. It lies in the Jordan Rift Valley, and its main tributary is the Jordan River.
The Dead Sea is 430.5 meters below sea level, making its shores the lowest land-based elevation on Earth.
The Dead Sea has a unique composition of minerals and therapeutic salts. The water is 32% salt as compare to the salt level in ocean water of 3%. Many report that floating in the sea stimulates your skin and eases joint ailments and other circulatory ailments.
Dead Sea is mentioned in the Bible as far back to the time of Abraham and the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.
We enjoyed our Dead Sea float and mud experience. Looking forward to the next adventure.
