Help support our friends in Israel in their time of need.
Shalom, Shalom!
Today was a BIG DAY on our trip. Why? Today we explored the land where Jesus lived, taught, and performed the overwhelming majority of his miracles.
Our day started with an option.
For some, the option was to hike one of the most rigorous hikes in the entire Galilee.
For others, the option was to reflect on the words and works of Jesus in the Galilee.
Both groups ended with the same astonishingly beautiful view.
From there it was a short bus ride to Capernaum – the place Jesus called “home.” There are simply some things that are impossible to describe with words – this place is one of them. After Capernaum, we explored the land around Capernaum, and just how wide and deep Jesus expanded his family (i.e. his “insula”).
All of this set up one of the most impactful moment of our trip – 5 days ago we were mostly strangers, today we stepped into the baptismal waters of the Jordan River as a FAMILY.
From there we …
Read the Sermon on the Mount … on THE Mount.
Then … we got in a boat (A BOAT ON THE SEA OF GALILEE!!!) … and, well, we will keep secret things secret, but if you know someone on the trip, ask them about the “boat party.”
And we finished the day with a private restaurant …
There were other things …
Inside jokes about wives and camels
Hunting for the “lost sheep” of the Jordan River
Eating fish eyes
108 degrees in the shade
Meir our amazing bus driver
Etc.
Etc.
Etc.
We miss you all … but we are so grateful for this opportunity.
GRACE & PEACE.
