Security

Good evening from Pergamum! We have had a really wet day today. The rain and storms moved in last night and really haven’t left us all day. It didn’t dampen our spirits, but it did prevent a lot of picture taking, so we’ve only this one group shot from Sardis to share (taken just before it started to pour).

Today we visited Sardis and Thyatira - 2 more of the seven churches in Revelation. Today’s themes revolved around the topics of security and tolerance. It was a challenging day as we considered the world’s way of establishing security vs. what God has made available to us in Jesus. We also broached the difficult topic of tolerance; how do we remain loyal to Jesus when our world pressures us to conform to its values? Needless to say it was a challenging day.

We are still happy and healthy! Thanks for praying! We’re hoping to avoid more rain tomorrow, but welcome whatever the Lord has prepared for us!
