Day 09 - Corinth, Olive Oil Farm, Free Time

The last day of our adventure begins with a ride toward the Peloponnese peninsula. On the bus, our guides discussed the importance of the battle of Salamis and the formation of the idea of Democracy. We owe a lot to the country of Greece. Following the footsteps of Paul, we visited the ruins of the ancient city of Corinth. Paul was discouraged by the lack of interest in the gospel by the Athenian thinkers of that day. Isn’t it just like the Lord to encourage Paul after his message was rejected? The Lord said “don’t fear—keep preaching…..”. Acts 18:10. Ancient sailors were passing through the Isthmus land bridge so he had a captive audience in that cosmopolitan city.

Pastor Terry and Peter wrapped up the Study Trip encouraging us to spend time with the Lord in the quiet of the meadow that once held the stately Bema in which Paul stood before the proconsul Gallio. We took communion under a stately tree. Terry asked us to share a moment when we saw Jesus in action during the last ten days.

"… behold, what manner of love the Father has given unto us." 1John 3:1.

Thank you for all your prayers. They are immensely appreciated! Safe travels and see you soon!
