Help support our friends in Israel in their time of need.
This has been a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Yahuda and Alon have been spectacular! Today we witnessed where David defeated Goliath. Standing there and being able to witness the beautiful scenery first hand was like going back in time and experiencing this Biblical event first hand which makes my walk with God even more special to me. I have wanted to see how the topography ties in with the Bible stories we’ve all heard and today it has happened. Sandee with GTI tours, from the moment we started this experience, has been most helpful. From the time I get out of bed till the time I go back to bed, my wife and I have thoroughly enjoyed this trip, especially sine we get to experience this with other brothers and sisters in Christ. I am looking forward to what the rest of this trip has in store for us!

Azekah (Heb: עזקה, ʿazeqah) was a town in the Shephelah guarding the upper reaches of the Valley of Elah, about 26 km (16 mi) northwest of Hebron. The current tell (ruin) by that name has been identified with the biblical Azekah, dating back to the Canaanite period. According to Eusebius' Onomasticon, the name meant "white" in the Canaanite tongue. The tell is pear shaped with the tip pointing northward. Due to its location in the Elah Valley it functioned as one of the main Judahite border cities, sitting on the boundary between the lower and higher Shephelah.[1] Although listed in Joshua 15:35 as being a city in the plain, it is actually partly in the hill country, partly in the plain.
