Day 4

We woke up to a beautiful morning with a message from Michael and a powerful time of worship by the Sea of Galilee. With our spirits renewed we set out for the day - first to Chorazin and learned about houses and Jewish customs at the synagogue ruins, then to Tabgha and saw the site where many believe Jesus reinstated Peter. We spent some time talking about the importance of names in the Bible and how Jesus saw past all of Peter’s failures and gave him his true name - God has a true name for each of us.
Later we visited Capernaum where Jesus lived and performed many miracles, we stood in the synagogue where Jesus spoke, and we saw the house of Peter. We concluded this beautiful day at the Jordan river where many of us were baptized before sunset.
