Demonstrate His love

Yesterday we visited the Ayalon Institute. For three years after World War II, this secret, underground bullet factory made 14,000 bullets a day for the Haganah as they struggled to establish the State of Israel.

The 24 by 100 foot facility was built with plastered walls in three weeks, all the while British control of the area made it a crime punishable by death even to posses a bullet. Those living on the kibbutz, which was above on the surface of the factory, were unaware of what was happening beneath.

The many miracles of this story includes the 10 bullet making machines that were provided to the factory workers, as well as those who during the early morning hours smuggled the bullets to the freedom fighters in a milk truck. These miracles can only be attributed to a God who keeps His promises and fulfilled the prophecy that His people would once again be a nation, despite man's efforts to prevent it.

But an even greater miracle is when through the Holy Spirit we as believers truly forgive our enemies and those who would spite us. My heart was touched as a young Jewish girl in our Bible study last evening talked about how she is learning to forgive the terrorist organization, Hamas. While she hates what they do and their mission in life, she is praying for God's grace to love the people, and for Yeshua to draw them to Himself. Even Kaplan Hospital, a non-Christian institution, treats wounded enemy soldiers with the same compassion and care as they treat their own Israeli soldiers.

May God bless those who demonstrate His love in so may ways, and may God continue to bless Israel.
