We left Agamim Hotel in Eilat at 8:40 AM for our short bus ride to Jordan at which point we reluctantly said goodbye to Nadav and Yigal. We learned that Jordan is a very accommodating country to the Bedouins and refugees from the surrounding countries.
We journeyed to Petra, stopped for lunch at the Sun City Restaurant, and proceeded to hike thru the Necropolis down the seq to the Al-khana, also called the Treasury, where the movie Indiana Jones was filmed. We shared a faith lesson at the Treasury, where we were challenged "do we have our money or does our money have us?" We all tithe but the question is "who or what do we tithe to?" We continued hiking, in awe over the many tombs of royalty. We ended our hike with a mule and donkey ride out of the canyon.
Our hotel tonight, the Zaman, is very unique - it's built into the side of the mountain overlooking the city of Petra. Our day ended with a Bedouin barbecue.
