Help support our friends in Israel in their time of need.
Today is a very sad day in that it is our last day on the tour. We have had a marvelous time together reasoning from the scriptures and learning about the past.
Today we went to Eisenach and visited the Wartberg Castle where Martin Luther hid after he was excommunicated from the Roman Catholic Church. Here he translated the New Testament into German being isolated for about a year. It was a very difficult and dark time for Luther as he was a wanted man and anyone could kill him without repercussion.
We strolled the streets of Eisenach where we saw Johann Sebastian Bach's house and another of Luther's homes. We had plenty of time to browse through the many sidewalk shops and stores.
Ending our tour we returned to Erfurt, stood by the statute of Luther and all sang "What A Mighty Fortress Is Our God". It was a precious time shared by all our group.
We return to the States very early tomorrow morning heading for Frankfort and leaving around noon. It has been a sensational trip.
