Help support our friends in Israel in their time of need.
PART 1:
Our group is communicating on What’s app as we all travel from different places and spaces. We each have our own agenda for making this journey but the common purpose is God’s. I am so excited to watch our relationships grow as we grow in our understanding of the Torah and walk the path lead by God with a cloud by day and fire by night. As He brings us together may we feel his presence providing for us, protecting us and loving us. Inshallah ("if Gods wills" in Arabic).
PART 2:
With open hearts we arrived safely to the Centro Hotel in Amman, Jordan. We are excited to study the text and see the Exodus from a new perspective.
Rich L. and Rich F. brought us together for the first time for a meet and greet prior to dinner. We have all traveled to the Holy Land, most with GTI in the past, but none of us have been to Saudi Arabia before. We ponder the question “have we been looking in the wrong place for Mt. Sinai?”
Rich L. began our exploration of the Exodus story in Exodus 20:1 where God introduces Himself to the Israelites. This is a story that teaches us about deliverance, salvation and divine leadership. It is the revelation of God and how we can trust His story. This story is the crux of biblical theology. From the Torah to the New Testament we see a plan of redemption. We see Jesus illustrating the Exodus as was prophesied in Hosea. We all all partakes of this story and called to encourage one another. I see a group of encouragers and feel blessed to be traveling with people of insight that are not afraid to ask questions. Questions about a topic that seems controversial in today’s world view. It takes faith to believe. Faith like that of Moses described in Hebrews 11, the faith of Stephen who was stoned, or the faith of each Israelite who stepped into the Red Sea.
