Help support our friends in Israel in their time of need.
As our Egypt-Jordan Signature Tour comes to a close, we find ourselves standing on the very ground where Moses once stood—Mount Nebo. From this vantage point, God showed him the Land He had long promised to Abraham and his descendants. Though Moses would not enter, the children of Israel were poised to cross overunder the leadership of Joshua.
One of God’s first instructions to His people as they prepared to step into the unknown was clear:
“Keep your eyes on the ark” (Joshua 3:3).
The ark, a tangible representation of God’s presence, was their guiding light, their assurance that He was with them. His Presence would distinguish them from all other nations. His Presence would lead them forward. His Presence would remind them that they were never alone.
Joshua 3 reminds us of the reason behind this command:
“You have not been this way before”
(Joshua 3:3).
The Israelites were embarking on a new journey, one they had never traveled. They did not need to know every detail of the path ahead—they only needed to know the One who was leading them.
In many ways, our journey echoes theirs. Our Egypt-Jordan experience has been rich with history, discovery, and revelation. And yet, like sojourners, we continue forward, not fully knowing where we are going, but deeply assured of the One we are following. Like Abraham, we step into the unknown, trusting in God’s faithfulness.
As we return to our homes, may we hold His Presence close. May we keep our eyes fixed on Him. May our ears be attuned to His voice. May our hearts be sensitive to His prompting. And may our feet run hard after Him into the unknown, until we finally reach the Promised Land He has prepared for us.
The journey continues...
