Praying on Mount Arbel

Hey all! To start off the day Scott had a great idea to have us hike a huge mountain. The name of the mountain is Mount Arbel!

Looking at it from the ground, I thought there’s no way we’re making it up that because at the top it looks like it goes straight up and it’s very rocky. As we were hiking up the mountain we stopped about half way for a teaching. In that teaching it included the scene of marry giving birth to Jesus. Everyone thought marry would have had a donkey to ride Bethlehem, well she didn’t. She was too poor. She was 9 months pregnant walking Bethlehem. Another thing that really stood out to me in that teaching was marry was a 14 year old girl who gave birth to Jesus, then a Shepard came and visited her. I always just thought it would have been some old guy coming to visit a 14 year old girl but come to find out most Shepard’s are girls, young girls 12 to 14 years old. Jesus gave marry exactly what she needed after giving birth. He gave her another 13 year old girl to give her comfort.

After we stopped for that teaching we continued hiking / rock climbing all the way to the top of the mountain. When we got to the top of the mountain we had prayer time. A different kind of prayer time, it was an eastern way of prayer. We prayed around the verse psalm 23. Scott would have read a verse out of psalm 23 and we would pray about that verse either out loud or in our head and if we got a word or had something on our hearts we had the choice to say it out loud. It was a very cool experience a lot of people got prophetic words and pictures.

Mount Arbel

Mount Arbel (Hebrew: הר ארבל‎‎, Har Arbel) is a mountain in The Lower Galilee near Tiberias in Israel, with high cliffs, views of Mount Hermon in the Golan Heights, trails to a cave-fortress, and ruins of an ancient synagogue. Mt. Arbel sits across from Mount Nitai; their cliffs were created as a result of the Jordan Rift Valley and the geological faults that produced the valleys.

Once that was over we started heading down the mountain. What I wasn’t expecting but ended up being VERY cool was half way down the mountain we stopped and Kyle, one of the leaders gave all of us letters that the prophetic prayer team from cross bridge church in Texas all wrote for us! Bye thank you for those letters cross bridge prayer team!!

After that hike we drove about an hour to zippori! At zippori we learned romans are very gross and perverted but they’re very smart. They build very advanced buildings for their time and are very artistic. In the market place they floor they would have put things in was decorated with tiles and those tiles were made into shapes. Some of the shapes were even 3D and shaded! With tiles! We kept walking for a little bit and visited an amphitheater! This was near the end of the day and sitting in that amphitheater we were all roasting like marshmallows.
