Day 06 - Sardis & Pergamum

I greatly enjoyed our time at Sardis today. Seeing the Synagogue next to the Roman gymnasium was especially moving for me. To know that two distinctly different faiths and cultures shared space and little else was amazing.

Revelation 3:1-6 reminded me the followers of Christ were very similar to our Jewish cousins. Their major difference was they had answered the call of Christ but had become complacent, and not finished what they were called to do. Apparently, it looked like they were about Christ's work but in reality they were not. Of course this made me do some self evaluation which led to repentance.

I encourage all to do the same and finish the deeds you have been assigned.
