Day 04 - Mount Arbel, Tabgha, Capernaum, Chorazin, Mount of Beatitudes, Ancient Boat (Ginosar), Galilee Boat Ride

Today is a special day, it is Shabbat! We have seen the Lower Jordan, and today are seeing the middle Jordan which is the Sea of Galilee, and the upper Jordan area which is referred to as “Jesus land“ since it is where he performed most of his miracles. Standing in the excavations of a synagogue in Chorazin that Jesus taught in, walking the grounds of the Capernaum synagogue and the shoreline of the Sea of Galilee he certainly walked then actually getting on a boat to be ON it! The theme of today was  “Location, Location, Location.” We are being taught about how significant a role the actual geography of this land  plays in truly understanding the Biblical text.

Everyone in our group has commented on the incredible personal and spiritual impact the sites had on us today. That was confirmed as we worshiped our Lord and Savior on the top of Mount Arbel. An experience that has changed me and everyone here with our group.
