Divine appointments

I began this blog series talking about anticipation. Every one of us anticipated an exceptional experience. Perhaps what we anticipated varied from person to person. Although, one thing, as it turned out, did not vary. That is how each of our anticipations were blown out of the water. We could not predict the outcome regardless the amount of preparation. Perhaps this is because the entire experience was filled with firsts for each of us. Or, more likely, we each had divine appointments only God himself could arrange. I firmly believe God met each of us in our particular need. As a result, our faith grew. Our understanding deepened. And, our appreciation for a God who brilliantly orchestrates, coordinates and executes history according to His plan increased exponentially. We do not leave with great memories, we leave with a stronger future. And if you ever experience what we did, you, undoubtedly, will too.

The first group leaves our hotel at 3:30 in the morning. It’s an 8:55 am flight to Istanbul. From there, O’hare awaits us later that evening. The other group departs around 11:00.
