Help support our friends in Israel in their time of need.
Today was an amazing day for our group. We started our day with devotions at the Dead Sea. We were encouraged to be a people who hear the Lord’s voice in our lives, especially when life gets tough.
Next, we headed to the top of Masada where we learned about who Herod was. We learned that the word ‘Masada’ means fortress and we were encouraged to think of the Lord as a rock and fortress. Before hiking down Masada, we sang the song ‘On Christ the Solid Rock I Stand,’ and we’re challenged to examine whether the Lord is our rock or not.
Then we made our way to a Bedouin community where we rode camels and were challenged to be those who are hospitable to strangers. Next we stopped at a Arad and learned about city gates and visited the ruins of the only known Israelite temple found outside of Jerusalem.
It was a hot day for us today, but the Lord who is our rock provided shade all the way. Is he your shade today?
