Pergamum & Smyrna

Good evening, friends! We have made our way to the beautiful coastal town of Kusadasi on the western coast of Turkey. The weather was beautiful today and we had a great day visiting two of the seven churches of Revelation: Pergamum and Smyrna.

The lessons at these two churches are challenging, but good. In each place we not only walked through the text of each letter, but we also considered the differences between the power that the world tries to wield and compared it to the power of Jesus and his kingdom.

Probably the most fun part of the day was we got to go to a small beach here in Kusadasi and touch the Aegean Sea!

Everyone remains in good health and great spirits. We are having a blast and learning a ton. Thank you for praying so diligently for us! We look forward to sharing more of what we learned when we get home. In the meantime, enjoy the photos!

Tomorrow we head to Ephesus!
