Day 00 - Arrival in Turkey

Friday night we arrived at the airport with our backpacks and luggage in hand. It was a time of connecting, meeting new friends and comparing notes on our hopes for the trip.   The initial flight to Istanbul was shorter than anticipated by ½ hour. Our connecting flight from Istanbul to Antalya was seemless and a short hop. Not one piece of luggage lost nor any lost travelers! God is good.

The bus ride at the Antalya parking lot was filled with twists and turns due to the congestion. If anyone in the group was growing tired, all the honking of horns in the airport parking area would not allow a one to sleep. 

Our guide, Gokhan seems engaging and knowledgeable, with a goal for our group to understand and appreciate the Turks and the history of the New Testament Church. 

In the coming days we will learn how the New Testament church changed the world and history. 

We are all in for the night readying ourselves for an eye opening spiritual journey which will ask us, "how then shall we live?"
