Help support our friends in Israel in their time of need.
This day was a nice change of pace. We began the day walking through an authentic village from the time of Jesus. We dressed up and lived out what "insula" is all about. We saw an olive press, as well as made and ate our own bread. We also squeezed into a first century replica home and saw what it was like for the paralytic to be lowered through the roof in Mark 2.
We then had the opportunity to visit an olive oil factory which also manufactures all-natural cosmetics. They had a great gift shop where we all stocked up on some amazing olive products!
We then went up to Mt. Bental and looked out over Syria from the top of the Golan Heights - and heard the amazing story of the formation of the modern state of Israel. God is clearly moving in HIs chosen people again, and we are praying that they will begin to see it.
After this we headed to Caesarea Philippi to see the "Gates of Hell." We saw where Jesus told Peter that "on this rock I will build my church." Jesus brought the disciples to a place they never imagined they would go to demonstrate that He will overcome. It was exciting to see the headwaters of the Jordan River as well.
Our next stop was Tel Dan. Here we saw an ancient gate called "the Abraham gate" because it is very likely Abraham entered through this gate into the ancient city of Dan. We also talked through the primacy of Israel in the plan of God.
Please continue to pray and follow our updates!
