The LORD will guard your going out and your coming in, from this time forth and forever. Psalm 121:8

Jill spoke this over us after her husband, Pastor Brian, prayed for our group. Most of our group left the church parking lot in a shuttle around 1pm on Monday. Pastor Rob sat next to the driver in our to-capacity transportation up to the airport and shared the gospel with him and invited him to find a good church home (ours was the first option on the list, of course).

We met up with the rest of the group and traveled from the Tom Bradley terminal at LAX to Tel Aviv, by way of Istanbul - almost 16 hours of flying - with two other churches embarking on a similar tour of Israel. We then passed through customs, collected our luggage, and boarded our tour bus so we could get to our hotel in Jerusalem just before midnight (local time) on Tuesday the 6th. It’s now Wednesday morning in Israel as I write this and let me tell you, I’m tired! But what a wonderful adventure to be a part of, jet lagged and all!

We could sense the Lord’s presence in our journey over here and, as He wills, we’re hoping to sleep well, travel well, and hear from our gracious Creator as we spend time in the land that has meant so much throughout history.
