Day 09 - Hezekiah's Tunnel, Israel Museum, Yad Vashem (Holocaust Museum), Farewell Dinner

We started our last day in Israel with happy hearts! Bright and early we were sloshing through Hezekiah’s tunnels below the City of David. We caravanned through narrow pitch black tunnels that connect the city to a precious water source. Seeing Jesus as the source of living water was so evident here!

The Israel Museum displayed a scale model of the Old City of Jerusalem (Mr. Roger’s neighborhood style) and the Dead Sea Scrolls. It was a little flashback to our time in the desert a few days back.

Between rain and hailstorms, we made our way to the Holocaust Museum. Here we read about the gruesome details of the Jewish genocide. It is harrowing in ways that words cannot begin to describe; it is so important to remember, not forget.

Our farewell dinner was held in the Muslim quarter of the old city. We feasted and shared memories with each other and our guides. We all experienced and learned so much from our time in this Holy Land, and can’t wait to share it with you soon!!
