Day 04 - Mount Arbel, Capernaum, Chorazin, Tabgha, Mount of Beatitudes, Ancient Boat (Ginosar), Galilee Boat Ride

Today was a big day out on the Sea of Galilee. We were concerned about being out in the rain and storm but we ended up being blessed with a cool but mostly dry day enjoying all the sites around the northern shore of the lake. We started with hearing the Sermon on the Mount read in a beautiful spot much in the region where this profound and still relevant sermon was first spoken. Then we walked down the hill towards the shore to the place where Jesus likely called Simon and Andrew to follow him and the place where they miraculously caught a boat-load of fish on the other side of the boat. We heard a great teaching from Christian about Jesus restoring Peter in John 21. 

After that we saw the preserved first century fishing boat and then took our own ride on a boat on the Sea of Galilee. We worshipped and reflected leaving many with tears in their eyes. Then it was off to Chorazin where we learned about community and life in a village in this region in the time of Jesus. Community is everything! Finally we ended the day with Meg, Gloria and Aldyce being baptized on the shores of this incredible lake.
