Help support our friends in Israel in their time of need.
We are a bit more settled in today after our crazy travel adventures following a delayed flight. Most of our group seemed to get a little better sleep and then we woke up early excited to take on the new day.
The morning started with a bountiful breakfast buffet at our Dead Sea hotel. It's truly astounding and amazing to see all the delightful items - dried and cured fish, shakshuka (eggs braised in a tomato or herb sauce), salads, eggs, pastries, and of course - COFFEE! There were some friendly arguments about Armenian vs Turkish coffee - FYI - they're the same thing.
Then we had a devotional by the Dead Sea about how "Input without Output = death." We need to give away all the knowledge and blessings we take in or we will end up lifeless like the Dead Sea.
Then we charged to the top of Masada - some crazies hiking and the smart people enjoying the smooth tram ride. We learned a ton from our amazing tour guide - Ronen al Khayat - about the story of Masada. Then we went down the Roman siege ramp on the back side of Masada. That led us to a bedouin experience of riding camels and then drinking tea while learning about biblical hospitality.
After a quick and rainy stop at Tel Arad, we headed down for a float on the Dead Sea. It's such a wild and interesting experience as you float on the top of the water.
Looking forward to another amazing day tomorrow!
