We are on the ground!

Our group of 52 took off from San Francisco at 6:15pm on Sunday, had a quick stop in Istanbul, and then touched down in Tel Aviv at just before 11:00pm local time on Monday. Tonight we will spend the night at a nearby hotel and then tomorrow we will begin our study tour in an area called Shephelah.

We’re tired from our travels, but the sense of excitement among our group members is palpable. We have a diverse group with participants ranging in age from under 10 to over 70. For some of this, the trip is a one-in-a-lifetime opportunity. For others, it’s a return to a land they have fallen in love with. All of us are coming in to this experience expectant, hopeful, and excited.
