We left early to beat the crowds to the Temple Mount, and (at least I think) it was 100% worth it! A little bit of rain meant the stone walkways were exceedingly slippery the rest of the day, but it certainly didn't slow our progress - it enhanced our pictures. :) Before we climbed the wooden walkway...

Today began with a 45-minute drive up to the Golan Heights, where over the course of the day we heard the fascinating story of the formation of Israel and its relationship to its neighboring countries over the last 125 or so years.
