Help support our friends in Israel in their time of need.
Well today we set off on our adventure to Turkey, and I think it’s safe to say that many of us have a mixture of emotions, most of which is excitement! Some of us have not traveled in the past 14 months and are excited to be journeying abroad once again. As we depart this evening on a direct flight from Houston to Istanbul, we would appreciate your prayers over a few things:
I am reminded right now of what Paul wrote to the Colossians in chapter 2, verse 2, “that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God’s mystery, which is Christ.” This is the desire of our hearts, that God may use this trip to increase our knowledge to a deeper understanding and move us to a place of greater intimacy with Christ, ultimately helping us better understand Him and His call for our lives.
A common theme for this trip will be “we’ll see what the Lord has” which means we will hold our plans loosely and walk each day obediently with ears to hear and eyes to see. We are eager to share with you along the way. Stay tuned for another post June 1st after our first full day in Turkey!
