Be still, and know that I am God.

Be still, and know that I am God. What a great way to start the day. Standing on the shores of the sea of Galilee. Pondering the places that Jesus would have spoken. Places where miracles were performed. Places where crowds gathered and followed him. And the only places he could go to get away from the crowds was out in the boat or in the mountains.

Today we found ourselves in the Golan Heights. We are amazed at the beauty of the spring in this country. The lush green hillsides and the abundance of color from all of the flowers.

Through archaeology, geology, and other writings, we have seen the truth of the Bible. We stood in the very place where Jesus said “Upon this rock I will build my church and the gates of Hades shall not overpower it.” Matthew 16:18.

We had a special guide today that took us through her home from 2000 years ago. We were able to sit in her home and visualize her lifestyle as well as the vision of Jesus preaching while a paralyzed man is dropped through the ceiling for healing. One of the major takeaways from this was the faith of the four people that lowered him through the ceiling and what Jesus told them to do. Go out and tell everyone. As Christians we need to remember that lesson. Go out and tell everyone. Don’t be silent. Don’t keep it to ourselves. Go out and tell the world.
