We Have Arrived

We’re here! For many of us, after a year of anticipation & preparation for this Holy Land experience - the day has finally arrived! We joined the big group at O’Hare, had a 10.5 hour flight to Istanbul, followed by a two hour flight to Ben Gurion airport in Tel Aviv, and then a quick sleep at a quaint hotel in Jerusalem.

We look so forward to deepening our faith and friendships, as we hike through much biblical history in the next ten days. At the airport yesterday, Matt encouraged all of us to get into the Word and to journal - so that we could contemplate & study why God chose Israel as His special place: the land flowing with milk and honey. (Ezekiel 20:6) Oh what joy, to be able to discover first hand, where Jesus walked, taught, lived & loved!

It’s our prayer that we hear the Lord's voice loud and clear during this trip, and that our hearts are open to being filled with God's message of truth.

Now, on to Shephelah!
