Day 3

Today we started the day with a visit to an Israeli memorial for an astronaut who was on the space shuttle that broke apart upon reentry into the atmosphere over Texas and other states. Afterwards we traveled to a place called Timnah which is close to the border of Egypt. It was still desert like yesterday, but it was different in that it was significantly hotter, and more flat with mountains on either side. We talked about how Moses was leading the Hebrews through that area after fleeing Egypt and Pharaoh’s rule.

All throughout the day we discussed the different characteristics of God, as well as the roles that we have in our relationship with Him. Two that rose to the surface were us as children and God as our father, and our Identity as the Bride of Christ and Jesus as the Bridegroom. As we finished up the day, we each had time to sit out in the desert, alone, with God. During that time for me personally He reminded me of a worship song that I have heard numerous times. I have attached the lyrics for you to be able to read.
