10 Weeks of Preparation

On July 22, a little over half of the trip participants began a 10-week journey in preparation for our trip. Steve Reineke graciously volunteered to lead our group through the on-line study course. Each week we reviewed the week’s readings, participated in some fun pop quizzes, watched Rich’s video and then did a table project to review what we learned. We’d always start our session reciting the Shema together. By about week four we were getting pretty good at it: “Sh'ma Yis'ra'eil Adonai Eloheinu Adonai echad.”

Then we’d cover some travel tips/topics and spend time getting to know each other. We’re ready to go! Here’s a picture of our class facilitator, Steve, along with some of us who participated (forgot to take a selfie). Thanks again, Steve, for getting us prepped and thanks to Rich for this wonderful study. We can’t wait to get on the plane next Friday.
