Lasts and Firsts

Today was a day of lasts…

It was the last time we woke up bright and early to start a day of adventuring, not touring, adventuring.  It was the last time we all piled in the bus and called for a family check to make sure we were all present.  It was the last time we would follow Scott and listen to a totally applicable devotion.  It was the last time we all tried our hardest not to get lost in a mass of ever-changing people.  It was the last time we were all together in the same place…

But, today was, more importantly, a day a firsts…

It was the first time many of us visited the place where are savior died and was buried.  It was the first time many of us visited the city of his birth.  It was the first time we all gathered together and told funny stories from the trip.  It was the first time we were able to thank each other for the community that was built among us.  For some of us it was the first time we realized how much we meant to each other.  And today marked the first day we can go and tell others what we have experienced and how we have grown.

This was truly an amazing trip that was life changing in many ways.  It was truly a blessing and an honor to take part in it.  We all appreciate all your prayers for us.
