Help support our friends in Israel in their time of need.
Sunday (happy mother’s day by the way) proved to be yet another action packed day.
We got to see a recreation of a Biblical city in Katsrin. Then we travelled to the Golan Heights and visited a former military bunker on Mount Bental which looks out into Syria. We got to see such a contrast from the desert of a few days ago by entering the forest area and hiking to the waterfall and streams of Banias, leading to the ruins of Caesarea Philippi. Afterwards, we visited the city of Dan where a golden calf was placed for idol worship.
So many great experiences, but my favorite was by far how we ended the day. There on the shore of the Jordan river, multiple members of our team stepped into the river with Mike and were baptized, in the same river Jesus himself was. Seeing someone proclaim that Christ is savior and then take that symbolic plunge never gets old!
