Help support our friends in Israel in their time of need.
“But he [Lot] insisted so strongly that they did go with him and entered his house. He prepared a meal for them, baking bread without yeast, and they ate” – Gen. 19:3
“Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.” – Rom. 12:13
Got to sleep in one hour today. Woohoo! By 8:00 we were on the road to Tel Arad. Here we explored a temple. Marty challenging question today was “How big is your heart for the lost?” I was comforted by the fact that God pursues us from Genesis to Revelation to today. He loves us and wants what is best for us.
Around 11:30 we are back on the bus where we saw lots of camels and shepherds tending there sheep and goats. God working in many other amazing ways! Yesterday we stopped at a lookout point overseeing the Salt sea and our translator, Nadav, met a Arabic Bedouin. Today, we found out we were invited to his house for a drink and pita bread. Just ask Ria how to make it! We were quite a spectacle in the camp with a whole bunch of kids running alongside of our bus.
Here we witnessed a true example of hospitality. They have never met any of us before, however they were willing to host 26 foreign strangers and they treated us like royalty! Marty told us that our stay can extend up to as long as three days! However, due to our time limit, we left after about an hour.
Now we are off to Masada where Herod the Great set up his royal hideaway. Now words to describe this experience. And last, but not least, the Dead Sea (Salt Sea). We had a fantastic floating experience in water that has 33% salt content. We also got to display our beautiful white robes!
What an amazing display of God’s creatitivity today. We are also mindful of situations at home and pray for God’s healing hands.
