An Incredible Start

[bs_col class="col-sm-8"]Today was Day 1 in ISRAEL!!! It feels so good just writing that. We awoke to a mouth-watering breakfast spread and then ventured off to our first stop - Obed Edom, where the ark of the covenant stayed and blessed his entire household until David took the Ark into Jerusalem. What a powerful example of hosting the Presence and the transformation that resulted all around. This stop overlooks the road to Jerusalem, so we could envision David leading the way, dancing victoriously into the city. Our next stop was Jaffa, the city on the sea where Jonah first sailed off in rebellion, as well as where Peter had the vision on the rooftop of Simon the Tanner for the Gospel to the Gentiles. We then drove a short distance to see the valley where the tribe of Judah encamped and where Samson was born and lived much of his life. Another highlight included seeing the valley where David killed Goliath - quite an extraordinary event to envision from the mountain above! We finished the day driving to the Dead Sea, where we'll be spending two nights. What an incredible start to a heart-enlarging, mind-blowing adventure![/bs_col]
