A Video Update

The following is from Friday, March 14th

A great day was had by all this Friday.

We started the day at Gamla, a national park and Bird Reserve. The lovely Chris Cue explains more about that In one of our testimony videos.

Our next stop was Mt. Arbel. From here you could see all of the Sea of Galilee and the area of about 90% of Jesus' ministry. We gave our group some time alone to spend with God, as this is the type of place that Jesus would have spent alone In prayer with God.

We went to Nof Ginnosaur museum and saw what is known as The Jesus Boat. Although there's no way to know if Jesus actually used it, or even the disciples; this is definitely the type of boat that was used In New Testament times which brings some context and visualization of Jesus' interaction with his disciples on the Sea of Galilee. How informative!

Very significant was Capernaum. Peter probably lived here and Jesus taught in the Synagogue here. We had Chris Cue read from Isaiah in the very synagogue (well, above the original synagogue, rather) that Jesus taught in... We had him read Isaiah 61, which is what Jesus would have done in the synagogue in Nazareth as He revealed his identity to the Jewish people there. During Chris's reading we experienced a wonderful release of God's presence and members of our group took turns in the middle of the synagogue being prayed for and receiving encouraging words by the group. Onlookers and foreigners were eyeing us suspiciously, but we're fine with that! A few people on our team said they especially felt God's presence moving behind and around those being prayed for in a special and unique way. How cool!

From here we spent some time in a church built over the spot where some believe to be the site of Peter's house. The Church looks like a space ship. Our team entered the church and sat sporadically throughout. The whole sanctuary was filled with people from all over the world silently sitting and praying contemplatively. God's presence was so thick in that space (-ship;), people from all over the world come here to honor God and pray. Our team just sat and absorbed. You could just feel the deep, warm, tangible, presence of God as you spent time there.

There are so many sacred places here where you can feel the presence of God due to so many people choosing to pray and honor God in specific places throughout history. You literally never know what you'll run into here! Stay tuned!
