#97 - A Double Portion of Peace

| Episode Guest: Ronen Ben Moshe

This short but sweet episode features Rich Ferreira and Ronen Ben Moshe, recorded LIVE from ISRAEL! Rich traveled to visit each of our Israeli partners, guides and drivers and enjoyed some sweet fellowship (and delicious food) in their homes. 2024 has been a very difficult year, but as the days get shorter and darker, a flame of hope is flickering brightly like a candles during Hanukkah. Peace is returning to Israel, and the people and their land are beginning to heal. One day soon, groups can return again to Israel and walk the Land. One way to support Israel and our partners is to consider joining our "Stand with Israel Tour", Aug. 28-Sept. 7, 2025. Together, we will visit sites dear to our hearts from past trips and new sites that explore the Bible even more. Another exciting option is our Jordan/Israel Signature Tour, Sept. 6-18, 2025. Not only does this trip include the favorite sites in Israel but the major highlights of Jordan as well: Petra, Mount Nebo, and Wadi Rum! Whether you are young or old, new to your faith, or a seasoned scholar, these trips will enhance your understanding of the Bible while standing with our friends in Israel. God willing, "Next year in Jerusalem!" https://gtitours.org/trip/signature-stand-with-israel-2025 https://gtitours.org/trip/signature-jordan-israel-2025

Jerusalem

Jerusalem (/dʒəˈruːsələm/; Hebrew: יְרוּשָׁלַיִם About this sound Yerushalayim [jeruʃaˈlajim]; Arabic: القُدس‎‎ About this sound al-Quds [alˈqʊds]),[i] is a city located on a plateau in the Judaean Mountains between the Mediterranean and the Dead Sea. One of the oldest cities in the world, Jerusalem was called "Urusalima" in the ancient cuneiform, meaning "City of Peace", during the early Canaanite period (approximately 2400 BCE).[5] Significant construction activity in Jerusalem began in the 9th century BCE (Iron Age II), and in the 8th century the city developed into the religious and administrative center of the Kingdom of Judah.[6] It is considered a holy city in the three major Abrahamic religions of Judaism, Christianity and Islam.
