#21 Imparting the Story of God — Interview with Matt Davis

| Episode Guest: Matt Davis

Matt Davis joins us today on the podcast. He shares about spiritual legacy and our responsibility to pass on our faith to the next generation. We also hear from Mohannad, one of our guides in Jordan, who familiarizes us with the ancient Roman city of Jerash.

Matt Davis is a third-generation Messianic Jew. That means that through blood he is Jewish, but also believes in Jesus as His Jewish Messiah. For more than two decades, Matt has been leading trips to the Middle East, walking ancient paths and creating new memories through countries like Turkey, Egypt, Jordan and Israel. These tours have been with private family groups and large church gatherings where he served as a teaching pastor. Through these experiences, and others like them, Matt has built an extensive network of friendships both here and abroad. Matt recently moved to Lexington, Kentucky with his wife of 18 years, Marilee. Together they have three children, Noah, Jed, and a spicy redhead named Karis. He enjoys kayaking, playing guitar, reading, sampling fancy new foods, and traveling at every opportunity.

Mt Nebo

The Lord forbade Moses from entering the Promised Land, but He granted him a spectacular view of it before his death. Climbing Mt. Nebo, Moses was able to see the length and breadth of the land of Canaan. When Moses died, Scripture notes that the Lord buried him and no man knew where exactly he was laid (Deut 34).
