What is a GTI Study Tour?

We’ve built into our study tours everything you need for an enjoyable and educational trip. We want you to be fully focused on the lessons and experiences you’ll encounter, and not be distracted by local tipping practices, transportation arrangements, or meal planning.

Our seasoned guides and ministry partners do so much more than handle the details and keep things on schedule. Our local guides have personal experience and intimate knowledge of the places and events you’ll examine, and our ministry partner’s teachers have a shepherd’s heart and a passion for God’s word.

Shea Sumlin

Lead Pastor, Northway Church

Originally from the great nation of Texas, Shea grew up in a broken home, far from the Lord, before surrendering his life to Jesus while in High School. After experiencing a radical spiritual transformation in college, he would eventually go on to receive degrees from the University of North Texas and Dallas Theological Seminary. During that time he married his beautiful bride, Tiffany, and together they have five precious daughters-- Emma, Sara, Rebekah, Abigail, & Hannah. Shea spent nearly a decade serving as the college pastor of Denton Bible Church in Denton, TX, before then serving as a teaching pastor for The Well Community Church in Fresno, CA & campus pastor for The Village Church in Flower Mound, TX. Today, Shea serves as the Lead Pastor of Northway Church in Dallas, TX. He has a deep passion for teaching the Word of God and spreading the Gospel through the local church.
