You’re invited to join us on a 8 day, all-inclusive Germany, Switzerland Study Tour.
You will be immersed in the land and lessons of the Bible as you’re led on a journey through Scripture while your local guide and driver will bring the past and present culture of Germany and Switzerland alive to all your senses.
Unlike other Holy Land tours, this tour is solely focused on bringing Scripture to life through first-hand experiences in the places the stories actually happened. An all-inclusive trip ensures you're free to focus on each moment without worrying about lodging, tips, transportation, entrance fees, food or water.
We’ve built into our study tours everything you need for an enjoyable and educational trip. We want you to be fully focused on the lessons and experiences you’ll encounter, and not be distracted by local tipping practices, transportation arrangements, or meal planning.
We believe that as a Study Tour participant you’re not a mere tourist—you’re an investment! This is evident from the moment you book your trip, through to the time you return home to share what you’ve learned with your friends and family.
Our seasoned guides and ministry partners do so much more than handle the details and keep things on schedule. Our local guides have personal experience and intimate knowledge of the places and events you’ll examine, and our ministry partner’s teachers have a shepherd’s heart and a passion for God’s word.
The guides have been so personable and so knowledgeable and so friendly. There's just never a bad day for these guys. They make you very comfortable throughout the trip.
— SteveWe got to walk the land and it made our bibles come alive, and my son being 17, he needed it to come alive. It solidified his foundation in his faith.
— JoeyGTI has done such a great job of taking care of everything... allowing us to feel at home and really focus on the things we needed to from the very beginning.
— JordanDr. Wayne Braudrick is the senior pastor of Frisco Bible Church and host of the All the Difference podcast. He earned his Ph.D. through Middlesex University, London. Wayne has been honored as a Chester Cathedral Scholar; Choctaw Nation Scholar; Honors Graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary; and National Merit Scholar. We will tour the city where the Reformation officially began, learning at Luther’s places of worship and instruction. We will also enjoy some fine bakeries in the old town.
Erfurt witnessed years of Luther’s learning and teaching; Eisenach was home to Luther and Bach; and their fingerprints are still on each town. Above Eisenach rises Elector Frederich’s Wartburg Castle, where Luther was hidden from the Roman forces attempting to capture him. We will tour the great Wartburg and see where Luther began the translation of scripture into common German. Wayne first visited this area in 1990, soon after the fall of the Berlin Wall. He will share about the young East German Christians he met and tell their stories of “revolution by candlelight.” Also, we will no doubt stop by two good bakeries in Eisenach.
Depending on time, we will enjoy some or all of the following: tour Heidelberg Castle, the castle courtyard, the barrel cellar, the German Pharmacy Museum, and a round-trip ride on the lower funicular railway from the valley station to Molkenkur. Wayne discovered a great Heidelberg bakery in 1986, but reconstruction closed it in 2002. We will need to find a new favorite!
The home city of Hulrich Zwingli is important for understanding the enormity of the blessing bequeathed to us by the Reformers. We will see the site of the Sausage Rebellion (yes, that is real and it was a very important event), visit the Grossmünster Church where Zwingli led, the Fraumünster with Chagall’s amazing art, and the original church site from the Roman era. Wayne has no favorite bakery in Zurich, so we will try them all.
This is a play and rest day. Enjoy the hikes, waterfalls, adventure sports, and quiet. Down the mountain in Interlaken is another of Wayne’s favorite historical sites – the place he first tasted Laderach Chocolate, possibly the best in the world.
On the way to Geneva, we will stop in little Gryon-Villars. If they are available then, we will visit with the team at L’Abri, the ministry begun by Francis Schaeffer, who was a great blessing to a young Wayne Braudrick. We will also enjoy D&G Boulangerie, rated the finest bakery in Switzerland and Wayne’s favorite.
John Calvin and his team transformed western civilization from this beautiful city on the shore of Lake Geneva. We will visit the original Roman foundations established by Julius Caesar, discuss the Reformation fathers at Parc Bastion, visit St. Peter’s where Calvin preached, and tour the Museum of the Reformation. The bakeries are good, but one’s palate can’t help but miss D&G. Also, there are 4 Laderach shops in Geneva and each is excellent. One even has a small museum on the history of chocolate production.
