Bring honor to the Lamb

Our morning started with Revelation 5:12, "Worthy is the Lamb...to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing."

H.G. Wells wrote, "Christ is the most unique person of history. No one man can write a history of the human race without giving first and foremost place to the penniless teacher from Nazareth." Rabbi Stephen Wise said concerning Jesus, "You will find that He is divinely human. It is no mean joy to us of the house of Israel to recognize, to honor, and to cherish among our brethren, Jesus the Jew, who has influenced the world more than any other man."

It is true that we have and do honor important men and women by standing up and giving them honor​. But it is ​also true that no one has the rightful place ​for us ​to bow down​, worship​,​ and adore other than Jesus Christ. He is fully man, and He is fully God the Lamb.

When I thought of our scripture this day, I wanted to honor the Lamb who lived 33 years in His beloved land, never leaving the borders of His beloved people. When we arrived ​at Kaplan Medical Center​ today for our first day of work​, I prayed ​that ​His chosen and cherished would again see tenderness, love, compassion, and joy in each of us as we went about the​ jobs that they ​had set out for us.

​I was on the cleaning crew. Today wasn't too eventful​​, but I know tomorrow will bring a full day. Our ​Israeli ​friends will be watching again, and I want to bring honor to the Lamb as I leave behind my plans, thoughts, ​and ​opinions​. I want to complete the tasks that have been ​given to me by our Kaplan friends.

May You receive the honor, the glory, and the blessing, Lord Jesus.
